Sonoma F.I.T.:
Fun(ctional) In(tegrated) Training

At Sonoma FIT, our approach to training is two-fold.
1) Fun in Training.
If we can help you find fun in fitness, you'll experience lifelong benefits.
2) Functional Integrated Training.
Training the body to move as it was designed to move --with neuromuscular efficiency in multiple planes, accelerating, decelerating and stabilizing.

"I’ve never seen a fitness modality that is as effective as kettlebell training."

Effective movement requires that all systems of the body work together as an integrated functional unit. Training must be designed to address the integration and proper functioning of the muscular, neural and articular systems. An imbalance in one area leads to compensatory patterns and adaptations in other parts of the kinetic chain (movement system). This can lead to overload and injury. At Sonoma FIT, we address these issues and choose fitness modalities that support the body in the way that it is designed to move.
–Sandy Young, C.P.T., Director of Sonoma FIT

"Getting there isn't half the fun, it's all the fun."
–Robert Townsend

From Sandy: As a fitness trainer, I’ve seen just about everything out there for “getting fit”. There are no magic solutions. It takes good ol’ fashioned exercise, a healthy diet and proper training methods. That said, I’ve never seen a fitness modality that is as effective as kettlebell training.

The kettlebell is a tool that when used properly is extremely effective and efficient. Working with the kettlebell almost demands that the intensity of the workout increase, that core muscles engage, and that the body work as a coordinated unit. If you want  improvements across the spectrum from cardiovascular to strength to athleticism to body composition changes, you’ve got to try kettlebell training. See for yourself. Sign up for the Kettlebell Total Body Fitness Series.
NOTE: Not recommended for those new to exercise. Best for currently active individuals. If unsure, please inquire (707-939-1114).

KETTLEBELL TRAINING for FITNESS

In the Level I Series, participants receive hands-on instruction and guidance in mastering proper technique and form. After completing the Kettlebell Level I Series, participants have the skills necessary for joining the monthly Kettlebell Level II WORKOUT or continuing on their own. The Level I Workshop Series is offered periodically throughout the year. Check below for the next workshop. Level II Workouts are currently offered four times weekly. We will be adding morning kettlebell classes in the Fall.
